Built around the Drop
A Slap Drop brings the menu, quantity, preorder cutoff, and pickup window together. When paid ordering opens, customers can reserve before pickup, giving eligible vendors a confirmed production count when the Ordering Window closes.
Define the Drop
Each Drop has its own Items, prices, available quantities, Ordering Window, and one Pickup Window.
Prepare to demand
Confirmed quantities can guide ingredients, labor, packaging, revenue, and pickup load before preparation begins.
Keep the momentum
Posts and Appearances bring customers back to one permanent place for what is open, upcoming, or sold out.
The preorder loop
Choose a limited menu, set the available quantities, define when ordering closes, and name one pickup window. When paid ordering opens, customers reserve before pickup and you prepare against confirmed orders.

One marketplace, many kinds of Drops
When paid ordering opens, a food truck can release a lunch special, a home cook can cap a weekend batch, and a baker can take orders before market day. Each Drop keeps the menu, limit, cutoff, and pickup details together.

How it works
New vendors create a Slap account and continue to the application. If you already have an account, sign in and go straight to the application.
Start with email or mobile. If you already have an account, sign in and continue with that same identity.
Tell us about the business, confirm your contact information, and send the application for review.
After approval, publish your story, Posts, and Appearances. Eligible vendors can add paid pickup Drops when commerce opens.
What is available now: vendor applications, Storefronts, Posts, and Appearances are available. Approved pilot accounts may test sandbox Drops, which create no real food order or charge. Live paid Drops remain separately gated.
Planned Founding vendor offer
Use the planned fee waiver on your early paid Drops while you learn which menus, quantities, and pickup windows work for your customers.
The short version
This is a planned offer. It will activate only when Slap payment processing is available and final commercial, legal, accounting, eligibility, refund, dispute, threshold-crossing, and funding rules are approved. Slap intends to waive its service, payment-processing, and tax-service transaction charges during the offer. The full payment amount, including sales tax, counts toward the $2,500 threshold. Sales tax remains payable and is still collected and remitted. Slap will publish the controlling terms and applicable post-offer pricing before activation.
Questions
These answers separate what Slap can support now from what opens with paid ordering.
A Drop is a limited preorder opportunity tied to one pickup. The vendor sets the Items, prices, available quantities, Ordering Window, and one Pickup Window. Approved pilot accounts may use test-only sandbox Drops. Live paid ordering is not open.
No. Slap is built for independent food businesses across many markets. Dallas–Fort Worth is the first launch market, and Slap will expand market by market so each area has useful local density.
Food trucks, food carts, home cooks, cottage food businesses, pop-ups, private chefs, caterers, and similar independent food operators can apply. Applications are reviewed, and listing a business type here does not guarantee approval.
No. Slap uses one person-level account. Create an account or sign in, then continue directly to the vendor application with that same account.
You can build your permanent Storefront, publish Posts, and share upcoming Appearances. Approved pilot accounts may test sandbox Drops without real charges or food orders. Live paid Drops require separate eligibility and authorization.
The planned offer covers Slap service, payment-processing, and tax-service transaction charges on your first $2,500 in qualifying processed volume. The sales-tax portion counts toward that volume, but the tax itself is still collected and remitted. The offer ends at $2,500 or 90 days after account opening, whichever comes first.
The offer will activate only when Slap payment processing is available and the final eligibility, refund, dispute, threshold, and funding rules are approved. Slap will publish the controlling terms before activation.
No private home or preparation address is published by default. Share only the public operating location or approved pickup information that customers need.
No. Keep using the channels that already work for you. Slap gives those posts a stable destination where people can find your business and see what is next.
